THIS IS ME

Judy Vo is a native Houstonian with a traditional Vietnamese family background.  Family focused, she understands how parents feel as they see their children struggle with bullying, relationships at school, and even asking for help. She achieved a Bachelor of Science and then advanced to a Master of Education in Counseling.  With both degrees from the University of Houston (Go Coogs), she can help your children overcome the obstacles they face in their life by building the foundation they need for a bright future.

Judy believes it is important for one to take time to thoroughly engage in self-exploration for the purpose of both gaining a better understanding of who they truly are and attaining a healthy dose of self-awareness that will permit significant change to take place in their life.  She is an attentive listener, patient, and has a caring and relaxing aura that surrounds her.

My Story

Pathway to Counseling

Judy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in Hospitality Management, and was inspired by hotel and university guests to begin a counseling career.  She then pursued a Master of Education in counseling with the University of Houston. While completing her degree, a passion for mentorship blossomed. Judy began serving as a Girl Scout Leader providing guidance and building foundations for young adults. She empowered adolescents navigate through their "tween" years, which are filled with peer pressure, self-esteem, and other worries. While at A Nurturing Home, a private practice counseling service, she focused on providing the tools for children having difficulty with a variety of behavioral issues.  These included:  ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and adjustment issues in the home and/or school environments.

Her career journey has provided her with clinical skills and immeasurable experience working with difficulties arising from behavioral problems, and this experience has made her very adept at creating effective pathways to improved outcomes. It has led her here today with The Cope Clinic as a Clinical Intern. She strives to help your children overcome the obstacles they have through their journey of life.  Contact her today.
